Broadcasters sue Dish over ad-skipping DVR service

  1. There really isn’t any ground for the networks argument. The Hopper gives the person using it the option to watch the show with or without commercials. A fellow Dish co-worker showed me how to use Auto Hop, so there are still ads. Dish is simply making it easier to do what has been done for years. I thought the DVR was created to record shows for later with the option to skip the oftentimes repetitive ads. Perhaps the networks need a refresh on the definition of a DVR.
